3.3 The Scan Area (Region of Interest)

By default, TIC scans the entire screen. However, for maximum performance and accuracy, you should define a Scan Area.

  • Why use a Scan Area?
    • Speed: Scanning a small box is 10x faster than scanning a 4K monitor.
    • Accuracy: Prevents the bot from accidentally finding the same word in a chat log or a different part of the UI.
  • How to set:
    1. Click the “Select Area” (or similar camera icon) button.
    2. Draw a box around the general area where the target is expected to appear.
    3. The bot will save the RegionX, RegionY, RegionWidth, and RegionHeight.
